Destiny’s Child to Reunite for New Album

We’ve been waiting for this for years. Eight years to be precise. But Destiny’s Child have finally made our dreams come true by reuniting for an album called Love Songs.

Beyonce announced the news on her website yesterday, saying  “I am so proud to announce the first original Destiny’s Child music in eight years.” Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams and Beyonce will be releasing new music at the end of January which gives us just a few weeks to organise a ‘Welcome Back Destiny’s Child’ party.

Love Songs will be hitting the stores on January 29, just four days before Beyonce’s halftime performance at the Super Bowl XLVII. The album will be a compilation record, featuring only one new track called Nuclear, which was co-written by Michelle Williams and produced by Pharrell Williams.

Destiny’s Child officially split in 2006 to focus on individual projects, and each member has enjoyed success on reality shows, film, theater and in music.

Multiple sources have also confirmed to Us Weekly that Beyonce will be joined by her Destiny’s Child band mates during her Super Bowl performance;  bringing them on stage midway through her routine and launching into a short medley of their hits.

This is possibly the best news we’ve heard all year. Well this and Kimye’s baby!
