Late President of Ghana Atta Mills lies in State


At 15.30 hours on Wednesday August 8 President John Evan Atta Mills’ body arrived at the Banquet Hall of the State House and was placed in state at 1600 hours.

Former president of Ghana John Evans Atta Mills lies in state for three days, today marking the second day.



On Friday, August 10, after the concluding rites are performed the military will transport the casket to the Independence Square for the burial service; where his family and a list of foreign dignitaries including US secretary of state as well as the President of the African Union Commission will be attending.
